The year 1948 known to Palestinians as the Nakba, marks the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of Muslims, Christians, and families from their homes. In Islam, oppression and the unjust removal of people from their land are grave wrongdoings, and remembering them is an act of truth and remembrance, not hatred. The date represents Sabr, sumud, and the belief that Allah is Al Ad The most just', and that no injustice is forgotten by him.
